2017- Tortilla Social, a participatory project that transforms public spaces through the use of printmaking as a tool for self-expression, advocacy, art education, and food as a uniter of community, Boston, MA
2017 Walls of Unity, lead artist for a digital mural-printmaking-installation. In this project I worked with four student apprentices to engage and listen to the local residents who live near the Community Art Center and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Cambridge port area. Through free printmaking workshops, we are able to listen to the community, collect feedback, and create prints that will be incorporated in the mural. This project will address the need to capture the history and stories of long-time Cambridge port residents as the neighborhood undergoes new community development. Served as an active member by helping organize community event, international print portfolio events, and our annual printmaking festival called Grabadolandia. We are inspired by the socio-political art of Mexico’s Taller de Grafica Popular (The People’s Print Workshop) and use our art as a platform to inform and generate community discourse about urgent social issues. We believe that art is not separate from public life. IGC advances the legacy and vitality of printmaking by fostering collaboration and solidarity amongst print artists through transnational dialogue and art making. We also create programming outside of formal education settings that celebrates and demystifies printmaking techniques and process for the public. Our praxis responds to the social conditions that impede equity and access to art-making and critical consciousness.

Recruited prospective undergraduate students with a focus on underserved, multicultural, international, and first-generation students by generating bilingual promotional material, communicating directly with students’ parents, and customizing tours and activities that fulfilled students’ needs and vision of the institution.
Developed and fostered partnerships and collaborations with other institutions and organizations to increase the presence of KCAD regionally and nationally including partnerships with high schools, colleges and arts institutions in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
